This is a photo of the Entrance of the most respected Buddhist Temple in Sri Lanka, Daladamaligawa (Kandy Temple) which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha.
The entrance is called " Vahalkada". A Vahalkada , known as a frontispiece in English, is a structure constructed joining a stupa at its four cardinal directions as a decorative flourish.
